Lois Marie Kiel January 26, 1929 ~ November 22, 2011 Funeral Services for Lois Marie Kiel, 82, of Bryan, are set for 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2011, with Rev. Terry Moon officiating, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday morning, also at the funeral home. Mrs. Kiel passed away on November 22, 2011 in Bryan, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Perry, Jay Malazzo, Johnny Dotson, Doug Brinkman, Kenneth Bayer, and Michael Bayer. Lois was born January 26, 1929 to Henry Dotson and Clara (Dean) Dotson in Burleson County, Texas. Lois married Preston Kiel on November 1, 1946. Lois was a volunteer at the Christian Care Center in Caldwell for 25 years. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, and she loved spending time outdoors. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Deanville for over 60 years. Lois is survived by her daughters and son-in-law; Jan and Stephen Kyles of Bryan, Susan Kiel of Bryan, sisters; Floria Moore of Caldwell, and Hazel Bayer of Bryan, grandchildren; Craig Kyles, Chad Kyles, Cindy Buban, great grandchildren; Natalie Buban, Andrew Buban, and Charlie Buban. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son; John Kiel, grandson; Michael Kiel, three brothers; Fritz, Hubert, and Louis Dotson, and two sisters; Ruby Brymer and Ellen Dotson.
