Lois Whitt Parsons, age 73 of North Tazewell, VA died Friday, October 21, 2011 at her home. Born March 14, 1938 at Bandy, VA, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Howard Whitt and Pearl Whitt. Mrs. Parsons was a member of the Springville Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Ted "Gib" Parsons; three brothers, Leo Whitt, Troy Whitt, and Lawrence O. Whitt.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Parsons and wife, Peggy of North Tazewell, VA with whom she made her home, and Dr. Dennis Parsons and wife, Linda of Fredericksburg, VA; one daughter, Diane Lloyd and husband, Ricky of Callahan, FL; one brother, Roy Whitt of Cleveland, OH; one sister, Doris Ann Adams of Madison, OH; two grandchildren, Whitney Parsons and Anthony Parsons; three step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Monday, October 24, 2011 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with Johnny Elmore officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
