Lola Andrews Brown, 88, formerly of Terrace Road, and currently of Eden Terrace, died Monday, September 15, 2008. Born February 26, 1920 in Franklin County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Enoch K. and Dora Cameron Andrews and the wife of the late Boyce Alexander Brown. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Brown Turner and husband William H. Turner, III of Gloucester Point, VA and Jerrie Brown McAbee and husband Douglas M. McAbee of Knoxville, TN; a son, Boyce "Boe" Alexander Brown, Jr. and wife Deborah League Brown of Spartanburg; two sons-in-law, Gregg Alan Morton of Union, KY and Joseph C. Tillotson of Spartanburg; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was predeceased by three daughters, Loretta Ann Brown, Dolores Brown Morton and September Brown Tillotson.
Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Floyds Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by Chaplain Randy Travis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or to Winyah Hospice Care, 880 South Pleasantburg Drive, Suite 1-A, Greenville, SC 29607.
The family is at the home of her son, Boyce A Brown, Jr., 185 East Victoria Road, Spartanburg.
