Lola Eufalla Kirby, 97, of Big Springs, WV, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, March 2, 2009 at Minnie Hamilton Health System, Grantsville. She was born May 3, 1911 in Ritchie County, a daughter of the late Van and Ida Cox. She retired from B.F. Goodrich and was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Betty Wagoner of Big Bend, Wanda Moore of Mogadore, OH, and Mestil Richards of Parkersburg; one sister, Glean McGill of Harrisville; two half sisters, Lucy Reed of Smithville and Fay Holbert of Parkersburg; two half-brothers, Clell Cox of Smithville and Clinton Cox of Vienna; two son-in-laws, Ernest Wagoner of Big Bend and Thirman Gainer of Big Springs; two daughter-in-laws, Anna Mae Kirby of Grantsville and Margaret Kirby of Big Springs; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Okey Kirby; two daughters, Maxine Eagle and Colleen Gainer; two sons, Dennis Kirby and Glennis Kirby; two sisters, Dicie Wright and Berbia Merritt; three brothers, Archie Cox, Mont Cox and Burr Cox; three son-in-laws, Basil Eagle, Bud Richards and Bill Moore; 5 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Blessed Hope Baptist Church, Big Springs, with Rev. Frank Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Fluharty Cemetery. Friends may call at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville from 4-8 PM, Saturday and one hour prior to service at the church on Sunday.
