Lorenzo "Larry" J. Ribaudo, age 87 of Grosse Pointe Woods, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in Detroit. He was born to Antonio and Josephine (nee DiPisa) Ribaudo on Sunday, August 16, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois. Lorenzo proudly served in WWII in the U.S. Army. He is loved by his family and friends and brought laughter and enjoyment to all that knew him. His greatest joy was bringing happiness to others and giving without expectation of reward. Beloved husband of Elida for 62 years. Dear father of JoAnn (Mike) LoGrasso, Anthony (Mary Ann) Ribaudo, Donna (the late Robert) Walton, Karen (Larry) Pruess and Lou (Julie) Ribaudo. Proud grandfather of Bryan (Diana) Pruess, Christina Pruess, Lauren LoGrasso, Kevin Pruess, Christopher Ribaudo and Robert Walton, Jr. Dear brother of Santa (the late Joseph) Pizzimenti, Grace Ribaudo and the late Santo (Beverly) Ribaudo. Beloved uncle to wonderful nieces and nephews and a friend to all. Predeceased by parents Antonio and Josephine Ribaudo. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 19th and Sunday, January 20th from 3:00pm until 9:00pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Instate Monday, January 21st at 10:00am until time of mass at 10:30am at St. Ronald Catholic Church, 17701 Fifteen Mile Rd., Clinton Township. Fr. Eduardo Perrone to officiate. Interment Monday at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township. Lorenzo's family would be honored by your participation in the celebration of his life.
