Lou Eva Taylor- Aday-Stanley-Splawn
Passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Lou Eva was born April 25, 1926 to Robert and Bessie (Dyess) Taylor in Ellis County. She attended school one year at Reagor Springs; then Waxahachie Public Schools. She married Harold Aday in 1946 and moved to Dallas. They lived in the Dallas area until Harold died in 1985. In 1986 she moved back to Waxahachie retiring after 29 plus years with the Federal Government, IRS and GSA. She then married a childhood sweetheart, Ted Stanley, in 1986. Ted died in 1990. Lou Eva has been a member of the Baylor Auxiliary since 1992 logging in 8,138 hours at the Thrift Store. For many years she taught Sunday school at Colonial Hills Baptist Church and Hillcrest Baptist Church, both in Cedar Hill. She enjoyed singing in the choir at each church. In 2000 she and J.D. Splawn, a lifelong friend, married. J.D. died in 2008. Her family: Daughter Sharra Aday Poteet and husband Eddie. Grandchildren: Tonia Bonilla, Angela Bonilla, Bambi and husband Brad Gonzalez, Mehgan Poteet-Eaggleston, Great Grandchildren: David Nash, Sarah Wright, Zachary Griffin, Emily Gilliland, Ashleigh and Joey Cotter, Isaac Gonzalez, Gary, Gavin, Gyan (Lou) and Adara Eaggleston, Great Great Grandchildren: Blair Nash, Liberty and Kaiden Strouth, Kayle Gilliland, Inherited Children: Nell and Andy McCuistion, Neva McLaugWin, Martha and Dale Patterson and their children. Memorials may be made to Baylor Auxiliary OR First Look (formerly WRC Pregnancy Center of Ellis County). Memorial, Saturday @ 1:30 P.M. at Hillcrest Baptist Church, in Cedar Hill, Interment Friday 1:30 P.M. at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
