LouAnn (Boxberger) Elder, 82, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 at Parkview Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fort Wayne,
January 23, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Marjorie Boxberger. She attended Most Precious Blood School and Central Catholic High School. She then married her high school sweetheart Robert on January 2, 1947. She was a homemaker raising her six children. Most recently, she loved working at Lexy's Pizza. She loved her large family very much, and enjoyed spending time with all of them, including the company of her dog, Ellie Mae. She is survived by her children Sue (Jim) Clark, Marsha (Mick) Mackenzie, Robert (Carole) Elder, Ken (Rose) Elder, Kathy (John) Ford and Larry (Connie) Elder; 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, brother, Jerry (Joyce) Boxberger, sisters Donna (Keith) Neireiter, Mary (Don) Keeley, and sister in law Maureen (Dan) Jordan She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Robert C. Elder in 1992, and brother, Jack (Gertrude) Boxberger. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church with calling one hour prior, Fr. Joseph Gaughan officiating. Calling at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road Wednesday, February 22, 2012 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 - 8:00 pm with a rosary service at 3:30 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, next to her beloved husband.
