Louis J. Crisa, Jr., 64, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at his home, surrounded by his family, after he fought a courageous battle with brain cancer for ten and a half years. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he resided there until moving with his family to Bridgewater, NJ thirteen years ago. Mr. Crisa worked as a Police Officer for the New York Police Department and retired after 28 proud years of service. Louis leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Katherine Zappola Crisa; his three loving daughters, Catherine Ollis, Deborah Crisa and Lou Ann Crisa; his son-in-law, Tom Ollis; his three grandchildren that he cherished, Katherine (Katie) and Thomas L. Ollis and Louis T. Crisa. Also surviving are his dear sister, Frances Tabone of Brooklyn, NY, several nieces and nephews, his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and friends. Funeral services will begin with a prayer at 8:30 AM on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638 followed by a 9:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Bernard R.C. Church, 500 Route 22 East, Bridgewater, NJ. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Road, Staten Island. Viewing hours are Thursday and Friday, October 22nd and 23rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
