Louis J. Luzzi, 96 Loving Husband, Father and GrandfatherMr. Louis J. Luzzi passed away at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood on Sunday June 21. 2009. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley 540 Franklin Ave. on Wednesday June 23 at 8: 30 A.M. There will be funeral mass in his memory at Holy Family Church Nutley at 9: 30 A.M. The entombment will be at Glendale Chapel Mausoleum, Bloomfield with military honors. Mr. Luzzi was born in Belleville and was a lifelong resident. He was an Army verteran of WWII and was a survivor of the D Day invasion. Mr. Luzzi was owner of the Essex Meat Market in Belleville for over 40 years retiring many years ago. He also was a big band leader for his own band the Hal Breeze Orchestra playing guitar well into his eighties.He was also a fourth degree Knight of Columbus with the Belleville Council and was a lifemember of Newark Local 16 Musicians Guild. Mr. Luzzi is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Anne (nee Godino) Luzzi ; his dear children Barbara Whooley and Joseph, Louis and Laura Luzzi. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren and his 9 greatgrandchildren. Mr. Luzzi is predeceased by his late brother Albert Luzzi and his sisters Mary Morrone and Ellen Zigarelli.
