KARNS, Louis Richard -- Age 78, of Fenton, died peacefully with his family by his side at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Monday, November 23 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Rev. Jeremy Peters officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Mr. Karns was born May 4, 1931 in Pontiac the son of Charles and Bess (Allen) Karns. He married Barbara Barton November 4, 1949. He had resided in Fenton for 50 years. He retired from Chevrolet Metal Fabricating in 1984. Mr. Karns is survived by: wife of 60 years, Barbara; children, Michael and wife Kathy of Fenton, David and wife Robin of Grand Blanc, Michelle and husband John Rasor of Brighton; grandchildren, Marybeth, Shawn, Candice, Holly, Elise, Christine, Thomas, Evan, Josh; great-grandson, Gavin; sister Milli Smith of Fenton.
