Louis Marra, 91, of Belle Vernon, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 in Thorpe's Personal Care Home, Charleroi. A son of the late Peter and Mary Rose Loria Marra, he was born in Belle Vernon on July 7, 1920. Lou had attended the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene, was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion, Post 659, a 51 year member of the Tri-County Lodge 252, F. & A.M. and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War 2. A locomotive engineer, he retired from the former Monessen Southwestern Railroad of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Ann Morris Marra, two sons and one daughter-in-law, David and Pam Marra of Annandale, VA and Thomas Marra of Charlotte, NC and two grandchildren, David Marra and his wife, Dana and Kelly Juhl and her husband, Eric. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Monday in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Tuesday at 12 P.M. Entombment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park. The members of the F. & A.M., Lodge 252 will meet in the funeral home Monday at 7:30 P.M. to hold services.
