Louis Miliambro 82, of Hawthorne, N.Y. and formerly of Chappaqua, N.Y. died on Nov.13, 2009 at his residence. He was born on April 16, 1927 to the late Antonio and Dora (nee Capuzzi) Miliambro in Chappaqua, N.Y. Louis proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked for the Town of New Castle Highway Dept. for many years retiring in 1992, finally attaining the position of Highway Superintendent. Louis was over a 60 year proud member of the Chappaqua Fire Dept. attaining the rank of Chief. He is survived by his devoted wife Jean (nee Kelsey) Miliambro of Hawthorne, N.Y. His loving children;Terry Grasso, Tommy Miliambro and his wife Judy , and Robert Miliambro and his wife Nancy all of Hawthorne, N.Y. and son in law Zino Grasso. 1 brother Rocco Miliambro and his wife nancy of Mt.Kisco, N.Y. and his sister Marion Woll of Ossining, N.Y. Also survived by his 6 cherished grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Predeceased by 1 brother Joseph and 1 sister Kathryn. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Saturday 7-9 PM. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Monday 10 AM. Interment, Mt.Pleasant Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
