Lt. Louis R. Supek (retired)

Lt. Louis R. Supek (retired), 91 of Hinckley passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at his residence. He was born November 21, 1918 in Murry City, Ohio to Louis F. and Margaret (nee Kovach) Supek. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1938, giving 32 years of service to our Country. He was a member of the Naval Security Group, was a 32nd Mason in Winter Harbor, Maine, and enjoyed violin making, electronics, and photography. Mr. Supek is survived by his sons Donald (Patricia) Vincent of Pasadena, Maryland and Robert Supek of Hinckley; sister Elizabeth Becker of Middleburg Heights, Ohio; grandchildren Donald Vincent Jr. and Amber (Scott) Scheafule, both of Pasadena, Maryland; great-granddaughter Hannah Scheafule; and his poodle Sparky. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances J. (nee Evans) Supek; parents; brother Robert C. Supek; and sister Mary Bremaier. Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Services will be held in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia at a later date.
