Louise P. Wilson, age 91, the daughter of the late Chorla McKnight Pressley and the late Samuel Blake Pressley was born on September 16, 1919 in Nesmith, S.C. She was the fourth of eleven children born to the Pressleys. On June 29, 2011, God sent his Angels to escort her home. As a young woman, Mrs. Wilson accepted God as her personal savior and became a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Nesmith, S.C. She received her formal education at Brown High School where she graduated in 1937. As part of the "great migration", she moved to New York in 1940 and worked at the Emerson Company while pursuing a career in cosmetology. When War II commenced, she became a part of the women's work effort to support the U.S. troops. Louise E. Pressley married Weston Wilson, the love of her life after he returned home from the war. Shortly after their marriage on October 18, 1945, they moved to Roselle, New Jersey. where Weston and Louise joined Heard A.M.E Church. Their one child, Wesley Wilson, was born in 1947. Mrs. Wilson treasured many things, but foremost was her relationship with her God, and her church. She served Heard A.M.E. church in many capacities. She was a founder of the Heard Federal Credit Union, president of the Heard Heliotrope Flower Club, charter member of the South Carolina Club, Mother of the Year in 1974. However, she was most proud of her work as a missionary, and the Heard AME Missionary Society is named in her honor. Louise leaves to rejoice in her Life Celebration and to cherish her special memories her son - Wesley Wilson (Cynthia Vickers Wilson), Kennett Square PA; two grandsons – Jonathan Wesley (LaTonya), Justin Blake and two great grandchildren – Elijah Jonathan, Maya Nicole, all of Atlanta, GA.: one sister- Mary P. Brown; one brother-in-law - David Leroy Snow, Linden NJ; a special niece Gwendolyn Weaver, and a host of additional nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
