Louise Weil
Former co-owner of the Times Herald
PORT HURON, Mich. - Louise Weil, a former co-owner of the Times Herald, died Sunday. She was 97.
Her death was confirmed by the newspaper in Port Huron.
Weil and husband F. Granger Weil once owned the Times Herald, which was founded by his father.
F. Granger Weil died in 2006, and Gannett Co. has owned the paper since 1971.
Weil helped raise money for Port Huron Hospital and helped organize the Port Huron Town Hall series, which began bringing national speakers to the city in 1955.
