Lovevolia Sproling Ukoh was born to the union of Charlie and Julia Nance in McGhee, Arkansas. Lovevolia was the 17th child to this union. Her parents, 15 siblings and 4 children preceded her in death. Lovevolia was educated in the McGhee Public Schools. Lovevolia moved to St. Louis in 1961. She then attended Forest Park Community College and Harris Stowe State College. Lovevolia worked for the State Hospital before starting her career at the St. Louis Correction Facility for over 30 years until her illness took over. Lovevolia was the mother of eight children: Evelyn, Anita, Bryant, Dwayne, David, William, Eddie and Kevin. Lovevolia also had twenty-one grandchildren, LaShonda, Marvin, Keviona, Bryant, Jr., Constance, Thomas, Tanesha, Tiesha, David, Jr., Audris, Julia, Dwayne, Jr., Phillip, Donnell, LaTisha, Tajha, Eddie, Dontae, William, Diana, and LaKresha. Loveviolia also leaves to cherish her memory: a sister, Gloria Scoffield of St. Louis, MO., two brothers, Hayward and Reverend Charlie Nance, Jr. of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Sadie Nance of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
