Lowell A. Johnson, 89, of Benton Harbor, MI , died on Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Caretel Inns of Lakeland in St. Joseph.

Lowell was born on May 3, 1922 in Sodus, MI to Albert and Goldie (Cooper) Johnson. After graduating from Benton Harbor High School, with the class of 1940, he pursued a career in tool & die making. He served his country during WWII, in the U.S. Army.

Lowell married Grace Carlton and she preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Lyle Johnson, and a sister Nancy C. Lazzaro. Lowell is survived by nieces and nephews.
