Lucette H. Hawley, 76, of New Haven, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2011. Wife of the late Clarence (Butch) Hawley, she is survived by daughter Donna Hawley of New Haven. She is also survived by a sister Ginette Valiet and brother Patrick Herlin in France and a sister-in-law, Sarah O. Hawley; grandchildren, Malynda and her husband Terrance Mallory, Catrina Hawley-Stewart, Allyse and her husband Jimmy Algarin, Dax Wilkins and Alain Hawley, Jr and greatgrandchildren, Terrance Mallory, Jr, Rayona Stewart, Terron Mallory, Myana Mallory, Jaden Algarin, Jourdain Algarin, Noah Burney, Teriq Mallory, Canaan Stewart, Acacia Algarin and Aubrey Hawley. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son Alain "John" Hawley, a brother Jack Valiet and sister Jacqueline Valiet; brothers and sisters-in-law Lester Hawley and his wife Rose, Marion Almeida and her husband John, Celestine Varella and her husband Manual, Fred Hawley, George Hawley, Mary Hawley and Virginia Cogswell and one grandchild, Candra Stewart. Daughter of the late Simone and Henri Valiet, stepdaughter of Mr. Herlin, Lucette was born in France on January 29, 1935. She had been employed as a nurse's aide at the former Golden Manor convalescent home in New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, November 19 at St. Martin DePorres Church, 136 Dixwell Ave., New Haven at 11 AM. Friends may visit with the family at church prior to the service from 9-11 AM. Arrangements are in care of BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR, 410 Campbell Ave, West Haven.
