Lucille Soares of Georgetown, formerly of Hemet and Colton, CA passed away on Friday, October 29, 2010 in Round Rock, TX at the age of 90.
Lucille was born November 16, 1919 in Tulare, CA to Jose Coelho and Isabel (Costa) Borges. She married Philip T. Soares on October 26, 1940 in San Bernardino, CA. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1992. Lucille was a first generation of immigrants from Portugal and an active member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Philip Soares; son, Philip Soares, Jr.; brother, Joe Borges; sister Mary Gill; and nephews, Richard Gill and Ronald Borges.
Surviving Lucille is her daughter, Nadine Ruff of Georgetown; two grandsons, Thomas Pennoni and wife Terri of Mooresville, NC., Jeffrey Pennoni of Salinas, CA.; one great grandson, Thomas Pennoni, Jr. of Mohave Valley, CA.; one great-great grandson, Jerimya Pennoni of Mohave Valley, CA.; and one niece, Darlene Borges of Tulare, CA. .
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. with a 7:00 o'clock Rosary on Tuesday evening, November 2, 2010 at Ramsey Funeral Home.
Funeral Services and a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown with graveside services to follow at Mountain View Cemetery in San Bernardino, CA.
