Lydia Krieger, 96, of Sodus, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at her home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 19, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 E. Glenlord Rd., St Joseph with Rev. Noah Headrick officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, Worship for Shut-ins or Hospice at Home. Lydia was born July 10, 1915 in Akron Township, MI to Christian & Katherine (Koehler) Meyer. On June 8, 1934 she married Lawrence Krieger in St. Joseph. Lydia was an active charter member of Grace Lutheran Church, Alter Guild and Ladies Aid Society.

Lydia is Survived by her son Larry (LouAnn) Krieger of Sodus; daughter Diana Flynn of Brevard, NC; grandchildren Lee (LaMoon) Krieger of Clinton, MI, Laura (Scott) Bolen of Antioch, TN, Lisa (Alton) Palmer of Benton Harbor, Lauren Flynn of Brevard, NC; great grandchildren Darlaena Allerton of LA and Patricia (Tracey) Followell of Coloma, MI.

In addition to her parents, Lydia was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence; brothers Conrad Meier, John P., August, Henry, and Chris Meyer; sister Natalie Meyer.
