KUHNS, Miles Edward, age 86, of Dayton died on December 29, 2012. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Marjorie, and daughters, Barbara (Doug Smith) Kuhns of Medway and Melissa (Bill Hoffman) Kuhns of Yellow Springs, nieces, Carolyn Richardson (Robert) of Chagrin Falls, OH and Nancy Crawford (Dewey) of Winnetka, IL, and cousin Robert L. Kuhns of Columbus. Edward attended Dayton schools and graduated from University of Pennsylvania and University of Cincinnati College of Law. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1947. Edward practiced law in Dayton for 46 years. He was a member of Dayton and American Bar Associations, The Lawyers Club, and member of several Masonic organizations and a former member of local boards of American Lung Assn., American Red Cross, and Dayton Public Radio. Edward was also an ardent mountain hiker, swimmer, traveler, classical music lover and devoted play goer. In his retirement he enjoyed taking many art classes at Sinclair Community College. A private burial will be held at Woodland Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. If desired, donations may be made to WDPR, 126 N. Main Street, Dayton, OH, 45402, or a charity of your choice. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend, and a kind and gentle man.
