SHREWSBURY: Madeline V. (Aucoin) Peloquin, 95, passed peacefully at Beaumont of Northborough Sunday August 14, 2011. Her husband Paul Peloquin passed in 1987. "Maddy" as she was known to her family was the eldest of five siblings and is survived by two sisters, Marie Kinney of Marlborough, Adele Haynes of Grafton and three generations of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Clair and Florence (Guhin) Aucoin, her brother Eugene who was killed in action at the invasion of Italy during World War II, she was also predeceased by her brother Marcel, her two brother in laws Donald Kinney, Paul Haynes and her sister in law Helen Aucoin. She was born in Marlborough October 2, 1915 and spent her younger years in Spencer moving to Worcester graduating from Commerce High School in 1934 and marrying her husband Paul in 1937. Mrs. Peloquin began working at HH Brown Shoe and then Worcester Federal Savings Bank before working many years at St. Pierre Chain Co. all in Worcester until retiring. Maddy and her husband Paul lived many years on Lake Quinsigamond in Shrewsbury where they hosted many family gatherings and happy times with cookouts, boat rides and card games. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Anne's Church and along with her mother Florence was a member of The Gold Star Mothers. Maddy particularly enjoyed golf, bowling and tennis for her personal recreation. The family wishes to give special thanks to the nurses and aides at Beaumont of Northborough for their loving care to Maddy while she resided there. The family suggests you honor and remember her with donations to St. Anne's Church, Free Medical Program, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury MA 01545 in lieu of flowers. Funeral Services The immediate family will gather Wednesday August 17th at THE RONEY FUNERAL HOME 152 Worcester St. in North Grafton from 9:30 to 10:30 am followed by a Prayer service at 10:30 in the funeral home.
