Madge V. Green October 20, 1924 - January 6, 2012 Madge V. Kincaid Green, 87, of Waco passed away Friday, January 6, 2012. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel with Chaplain Irenka Vlajnic officiating. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, January 9, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mrs. Green was born October 20, 1924, in Taylorville, Christian County, Illinois, to Albert and Carrie Kincaid. She grew up in Waukegan, IL, where she graduated from high school. She was employed by the U.S. Navy at Great Lakes Training Station, Great Lakes, IL, from 1942-1946. Jimmie V. Green and moved to Amarillo, Texas, and then to Waco. Madge and Jim were married 57 years. She raised her family in Waco, volunteered in local schools and worked in her local precinct during elections. Later she worked in the High School-College Relations Department at Baylor University. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Glockzin and husband, Bill, of Aransas Pass, Janet Tidwell and husband, Bob, of Houston, and Joan Warren and husband, Bruce, of Waco; son, Cliff Green and wife, Jayne, of Houston; grandsons, Wes Glockzin and wife, Stephanie, Chris Warren and Kristy Pawlik, Greg Green and Ruth Bjerkan, Blake Green and wife, Seba; and granddaughter, Jessica Tidwell. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons, Wes Glockzin, Chris Warren, Greg Green and Blake Green; and sons-in-law, Bill Glockzin, Bruce Warren and Bob Tidwell. Our family wishes to thank her doctor, Charles Stern, the staffs of St. Elizabeth's, St. Catherine's and Providence Hospice for their loving care of our mother. Also, a special thanks to her friend and neighbor, Joy Flowers, for all her support and daily calls just to say "hi". In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Association.
