Manuel P. Rivas Jr. was born in Long Beach, CA on May 11, 1944.
The Lord called him to rest on November 3, 2011. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bertha Yira and their children: Suzy, Maria D, Bertha Yira (Aniz), Natalie and Gildardo Manuel. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, brother Ezequiel Rivas and sister Lucy Ratcliffe of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Rosary on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. George's Catholic, 120 W. Fifth St., Stockton, CA..
There will be visitation at DeYoungs on Tuesday, 1:00p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Interment will be at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery
