Marcel "Bud" Villaron, Jr. passed away in Lodi on August 24th. A lifelong resident of Stockton, he was born to Nadine and Marcel Sr. on March 22, 1947. Bud graduated from Lincoln High School where he lettered twice in diving. Bud served in the Air Force from 1965 to 1969. After the Air Force, he worked for more than 30 years in the construction industry, doing everything from real estate, flooring installations, general contracting, and most recently, worked as a construction consultant. After retiring, Bud spent his time doting on his wife Wanda and their cats, and growing lilies in the backyard.

Bud met his wife in a bar when he asked her to dance on November 9, 1971. They were engaged by Christmas Eve and married on February 19, 1972. Wanda and Bud went on to raise three children together. Bud was highly involved in his children's lives, coaching multiple soccer and baseball teams, as well as being president of SYSA.

Bud will be fondly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Wanda; his son Shawn and wife Rachel; his daughter Lori and husband Keith, and their children, Nicholas and Andrew; and his son Ryan and wife Dena, and their to-be-born daughter Brooke. Bud will also be greatly missed by his sister Linda Perry of Tracy.

A celebration of Bud's life will be held Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 3pm at the De Young Memorial Chapel at 601 North California Street in Stockton, California. In memory of his love of Hawaii, we're asking everyone attending the memorial to dress in Hawaiian attire. Memorial donations may be made to the Delta Humane Society in Stockton.
