Marcelino “Marcy” Timothy Martin

1925 ~ 2010

Marcelino “Marcy” Timothy Martin, 85, passed away surrounded by his family on July 15, in Salt Lake City. He was born April 25, 1925, in Saguach, Colorado to Manuel T. Martin (Blackie) and Ramona Perfecta Laris. He married Nona Lyn Archibald, later divorced, married Janice Breitenbuecher, later divorced, married Marta Garcia-Castillo on April 13, 2006.

Marcy enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, lapidary and rock hunting with his family and friends. He enjoyed creating things using his hands. He served in the U.S. army during W.W. II. Retired from Kennecott and worked for KDJ Steel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 4 years, children John (Carolyn) Martin, Kim Peterson, Lopeti Penimaani, Cori (Mark) Rackley, Cristina Palauni and Sebrina (Amoni) Lapuaho; step-children Rudy Godoy, Miguel (Judy) Godoy, Victor Godoy, Ana (Hugo) Silva, Byron (Merrilee) Godoy, Delia (Javier) Orduno and Edgar Godoy; 37 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday July 17, at the Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Dr. A viewing will be held 2 hours prior to the services. Interment will be Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 S. 1950 E.

Marcy was loved by his family and many friends, he will be greatly missed.
