Margaret Ann Pettit, 75, of the 300 block of Woodbridge Drive, Chesapeake, VA, passed away February 10, 2011, in her home. She was born August 5, 1935, the daughter of the late Douglas and Bessie Wilson. She retired from Civil Service with the US Navy after 32 years as a Supervisor. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, David H. Pettit; her daughter, Tanya D. Pettit, and her son, Clayton Davis, both of Chesapeake, VA; three sons, Brian L. Pettit and wife Pamela of Williamsburg, VA, Scott Pettit and wife Melody and Keith Pettit, all of Chesapeake, VA; a brother, William Wilson of Staunton, VA; five grandchildren, Nikki Goodwin, Brianne Twiford, Ashley Pettit, Scott Pettit and Alexandria Pettit; and three great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens with Rev. Lonnie Correll officiating. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
