Margaret J. Gensler Margaret Jeanette Gensler, formerly of Monroe, Michigan, went to be with her Lord on August 13, 2008 at Belle Oakes Living Center in Lake City, Michigan. She was 91. Margaret was born June 3, 1917 to Theodore and Margaret Weisel in Monroe, Michigan. She married Edwin Gensler on June 3, 1939. He preceded her in death in 1989, shortly after celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Margaret was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe, MI and served as the church secretary for 25 years. She also served in Trinity’s Ladies Aid, LWML, Mary Magdalene Circle and sang in the church choir. She dearly loved being with her family and friends, Christmastime, eating out and pink flowers, especially roses. She is survived by her children Sharon (Edward) Clock of Reed City and Douglas (Gay) Gensler of Cadillac; grandchildren, Edwin Vetter of Barryton, Robert (Diane) Vetter of Toledo, OH, Christa Gensler of Wauwautosa, WI, Melissa (Jason) Schoenmeyer of Saginaw, Alesha Gensler of Lansing; step-granddaughter Lois Aardema of Leroy, step-grandson–in–law John Loveland of Evart, great-grandchildren Ian and Caleb Schoenmeyer; step-great-grandchildren Miranda and Michelle Loveland, Shera Aardema and Travis and Danielle Roach. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ethelka Kolb; brothers, Milton and Forrest Weisel and step-granddaughter Linda Loveland. Visitation will be at Rupp Funeral Home in Monroe on Friday, August 15th from 1:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe on Saturday, August 16th at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Stan Aubuschon officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 and continue until the time of the service. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle, MI.
