Margaret "Anna" (Arsenault) Holmes, 82, of Gardner, died peacefully Friday evening in Baldwinville Nursing Home, following a brief illness.
Margaret was born in Gardner, January 26, 1927, daughter of the late Albany and Mary Anne (Bernard) Arsenault. She was raised in Gardner, moved to Westminster to raise her children, before retiring to Zephyrhills, Florida where she resided for 18 years prior to moving back to Gardner. Her beloved husband Floyd T. Holmes died in 1971.
Margaret worked in the cafeteria of Westminster Elementary School for 11 years. Her full time career was raising her 7 children. She enjoyed baking, arts and crafts of all kinds, especially ceramics and making dolls.
She will be sadly missed by her 3 sons; Thomas M. Holmes and his wife Leonette of Dade City, FL, Philip F. Holmes of Quartz Hills, CA, and William J. Holmes and his wife Kristen of San Antonio, FL; 4 daughters: Linda M. Porazzi and her husband Alberto of San Antonio, TX, Julie A. LaFosse and her husband Leonard of Dade City, FL, Patricia R. Clayman and her husband Jonathan of Gardner, and Kathleen M. Rosaly and her husband Carlos of Lutz, FL; 2 brothers: John "Roger" Arsenault of Deerfield Beach, FL, and Joseph "Raymond" Arsenault of Swanzey, NH; 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
You are invited to attend her funeral service in the Lamoureux-Fletcher Community Funeral Home, 105 Central St. Gardner, on Friday, April 17th at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Westminster. There are no calling hours.
