Margaret J. Higgins, 78, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010. She was born in Liberty, Indiana to the late Grace and Hubert Jones. Margaret was the retired owner of Best Appraisals of South Florida and a member of Great Bridge United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Philip F. Higgins, and is survived by a daughter, Vicki Riggan of Chesapeake, VA; a son, Terry Higgins of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Shirley Carter of Columbus, IN, Phyllis Mason of Munster, IN, and Patricia Lineback of Southport, NC; two grandchildren, Matthew and Jennifer Bledsoe of Chesapeake, VA. She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Logue; and a brother, William Jones. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2010, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel where the family will receive friends the hour prior. Burial will be in Pompano Beach, FL at a later date. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
