Margaret Mary "Margo" Conway

Margaret Mary Conway "Margo" passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the age of 89. Daughter of the late Thomas Conway and Mary Gilmour Conway. Sister of the late Mary Conway Gilligan and Vincent Conway. Aunt of Virginia J. Gilligan. Close friend of the late Theresa Leslie Pavey, Leslie Pavey Mancuso, and The Avit and Ida Bordelon Family. She is also survived by many loving friends. A native of Scotland and a resident of Jefferson, LA for over 50 years. Miss. Conway served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. She became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1953. She was a retired Liquidator from the United States Customs Service. Margo was an active parishioner at St. Rita Parish, having previously served as Vice President of the Legion of Mary and as a Eucharistic Minister. She had also been an active parishioner of St. Agnes Parish. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3310 Jefferson Highway on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 12:00 PM. Visitation at the church will begin at 9:00 AM with a rosary at 11:15 AM.
