Margaret M. “Peg” (O’Neill) Sullivan, Of Cambridge passed away on December 7, 2009 at the Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. She was the beloved wife of the late Mortimer J. Sullivan. She was the devoted mother of Paul J. & Terry of Medway, Mary P. & John Brennan of Maynard, Daniel M. of Cambridge, John F. & Priscilla of Lynnfield, Ellen & Todd Kopp of Newburyport, Mortimer S. & Sabin of Waltham, Peggy A. & Taylor Eighmy of TX and Richard A. Sullivan of Everett.

Born in Killeenleagh, Ireland on June 29, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ellen (Crowley) O’Neill. She was the sister of Mary Daly of Ireland and the sister in law of Nuala O’Neill of Ireland. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the Stanton Funeral Home on Friday December 11, 2009 at 9:30 A.M. Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Watertown at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will take place on Thursday December 10, 2009 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Interment in Cambridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Sullivan was a late member of the Sacred Heart Parish Ladies Sodality. She was a Past President of the Matignon Mother’s Guild and served as a former Den-Mother for CubScout Pack, Belmont.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peg’s memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Matignon High School, 1 Matignon Rd. Cambridge, MA 02140 attn: Alumni Assoc. would be appreciated.
