Mrs. Margaret R. Marg (Hartman) Baer, 77, of 6528 Furnace Road, Waynesboro, died at 1:25 P.M., Sunday, October 30, 2011, in her home. Born November 19, 1933 in Quincy, PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ruth (McCarten) Hartman. She lived most of her life in the Quincy area. Mrs. Baer graduated from Quincy High School with the class of 1951. She and her husband, the late Robert D. Baer, were married on December 23, 1950 in Hagerstown. They moved to Furnace Road in 1957. Mr. Baer died on October 23, 2010. In her early life, Mrs. Baer worked at Stanley Company, Chambersburg. However, she was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of Blue Rock Church, Waynesboro and enjoyed sewing, shopping, and going out to eat. She is survived by one daughter, Beth C. Baer of Waynesboro; one brother, Vernon Pete Hartman of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patti Sue Baer who died November 19, 2004. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 4, 2011, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. Donald L. Bender officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday evening, in the funeral home.
