Margarite (Marge) entered this world on May 3, 1924 in Garden City, Michigan. She was the youngest of ten children born to Gustave and Ottilie Schwartz. At the age of 9, the family joined the New Apostolic Church. She married Roy Christie in 1947. She was mostly known for her good eats at Gordon Food Service where she has been employed for 20 years. She lost her beloved husband Roy in 1984 and entered into marriage again with Glenn Barts in 1989. She looked forward to Sundays with her family when she would make dinner for all. She lived for her children and grandchildren, they were a special blessing and gave her much happiness and joy.
She leaves to mourn her loss, two special sons Thom (Celeste) Christie and Dale (Annette) Christie. Six grandchildren April (Jonathan) Sigg, Sarah (Matt) Waters, Evan (Julie) Christie, Todd (Danielle) Christie, Scott Christie, Ashley (Casey) Duncan, Jordan Krieger, and Taylor Krieger. Eight great-grandchildren Lindsay, Lily, Lucais, Violet, Anthony, Alexis, Ava, and Drew.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her siblings; Helen, Walter, Arnold, Anna, Emma, Elsie, Alma, Frederick, and her baby brother that died on the way to America; her husband Roy in 1984, husband Glenn in 2003.
