Margie Violet Collins, 95, of Ironton, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Boone County, West Virginia native was born June 13, 1917, the daughter of the late Miles and Louella Asbury Browning. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ermil G. Collins.

Mrs. Collins was a former cook for Sunset Nursing Home and lived most of her life in Lawrence County, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by:
2 daughters: Juanita Stanley, Sue Byrne
a son: Bob Collins
3 brothers and 8 sisters
son-in-law: Buck Robinson

She is survived by:
daughter: Rosemary Webb of Knoxville, TN
daughter: Phyllis Spillman of Lexington, KY
son: John Collins of Ironton, OH
daughter: Connie Robinson of Ironton, OH
daughter: Pam and Andrew Lawson of Ashland, KY
20 grandchildren 24 great grandchildren 20 great great grandchildren

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery and visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
