With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Maria Campos Acosta on November 07, 2011.

She was born in San Juan de Los Lagos, Jalisco. There she met and married J. Trinidad Acosta. They moved to Tijuana, Baja, CA, where they resided for several years before moving to Los Angeles, CA in the mid 1960's. She worked as a seamstress operator until she suffered her stroke in 1988. She always taught by example, she was caring, hardworking and had an unfaltering faith in God. Her faith in God and her love for her children gave her the strength and courage to be able to sustain the pain and suffering she endured as her health deteriated. She is the bond that keeps her family together with the memory of her unconditional love.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Juan Ramon Acosta, Francisco Acosta, Robert Acosta, Maria G. Villegas, Gabriela Medina, cherished grandchildren, Richard Acosta, Danny Acosta, J. Ramon Acosta Jr., Frankie Acosta, Johnathon Acosta, Carlos Matthew Villegas, Christopher Villegas, Kathy Acosta, Chelsea Villegas, Caitlin Villegas, Christian Medina, Eric Medina and Yvonne Acosta, treasured great grandchildren, Isabella Acosta, Maradie Acosta, Hayden Villegas and Jude Acosta.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Campos and Josephina Magdaleno, her husband J. Trinidad Acosta, two children Lourdes Acosta and Ricardo Acosta, and her brother Alberto Campos.

We would like to thank Marisela Rosas and Sonia for their loving and compassionate care of our loving mother.
