On Sunday morning, November 27, 2011, an angel grew her wings and left this world to fly to heaven. Maria Guadalupe Rin, most commonly known as "Lupe," lost her 5-month battle to pancreatic cancer.
Our beautiful and graceful angel is survived by her loving son, Paul Rin and his family: wife, Sophia Rin, and sons, Angelo Vidrio, Dominic Vidrio and Jordan Rin; her grateful daughter, Arikka Rin; siblings: Rosie Hernandez, Santiago "Jr." Meneses, Lidia Meneses, brother-in-law, Juan Hernandez, and also by her immensely strong father, James Meneses. She is reunited in heaven with her mother, Socorro Meneses and brother, Mario Meneses.
Lupe was born in Tijuana, MX while her parents were on their trek to America. She made Stockton, CA her home and created a family with Larry Rin. Lupe had an adventurous spirit traveling to Mexico, Madrid, Morocco, Paris, Puerto Rico and Tahiti. Her energy and excitement for life inspired us all. Her love for her family was never-ending. Lupe touched the hearts of many with her magnetic smile, sincere generosity, love and care. Our daughter, sister, mother and best friend will forever be in our hearts, but she'll be watching over us from up above, always.
In lieu of flowers, please donate what your heart desires to any of the following organizations that have provided Lupe and her family so much support: Hospice of San Joaquin, the American Cancer Society or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. And remember to be kind to one another, it's something Lupe never stopped giving, kindness.
A Rosary will be on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday, December 6, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Church, 3847 N. Sutter St.
Committal will be private at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery
