Maria M. Randall Obituary


Maria Mary Randall, age 90, of Kingston, passed away at the Hospice Residence of Marlette Hospital in Marlette. She was born on December 5, 1920 in Caro to the late Floyd and Elizabeth (Kreger) TerBush.

Maria attended and graduated from Fourtowns Country School and then helped on the family farm. She then worked as a Rosy the Riveter in the Detroit area. On December 20, 1945 the former Maria TerBush married the late Basil R. Randall in Kingston, and he preceded her in death. After raising her family, she worked as a tool grinder and assembly person in a number of local auto outsourcing companies. She was a charter member of the Kingston Athletic Boosters and Kingston V.F.W. Auxiliary, and then transferred to the Cass City and Caro V.F.W Auxiliaries. She was also a member of the Horizons Club at Independent Bank and the Women of the Moose. She and her husband delivered meals to senior citizens for 13 years. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing quilts, and loved playing euchre.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jeanette and Scott Landram of Caro, Dennis and Mary Randall of Kingston, Debbie and Bud Topham of Mayville, Richard and Pat Randall of Kingston, Terry and Connie Randall of Silverwood; one son-in-law, Dave Pretzer of Kingston; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; her siblings, Lee (JoAnne) TerBush of Alexandria, Virginia and Hazel TerBush of Flint; her sisters-in-law; Sally, Marjorie, Maxine, and Gloria TerBush and Shirley Randall; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Pretzer; five brothers and three sisters, Arthur, Frank, Ted, Wayne and Willard TerBush, Violet Buck, Vera Steele and Norma Asperger.

The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ray Karr officiating.

Burial will be at East Dayton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life .
