Maria Stachowsky, 84, of Hightstown, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 in Hamilton Continuing Care Center. Born in the Ukraine, she has been a resident of the United States since the early 1950s. Maria was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the German American Society. Wife of the late Christian Stachowsky and sister of the late Paullina Meier and Ernst Stuegelmeier; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elvira and Frank Russell Diefenbach of Hightstown; her son, Martin Stachowsky of Hightstown; her brother and two sisters-in-law, Herbert and Gloria Stuegelmeier of Paulina, Iowa and Sieglende Stuegelmeier of Germany; her two grandchildren, John R. Diefenbach and his wife, Kim of Ewing and Denise R. Diefenbach and her fiancée Joseph G. Farmer of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. All services will be private and under the direction of Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Avenue, Hightstown.
