Marianne Mullender Dotson
December 16, 1926 – May 22, 2011
Marianne Mullender Dotson 84 of Huntsville passed away Sunday. Mrs. Dotson was born in Belgium. Mrs. Dotson was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Spencer Dotson, Jr. Mrs. Dotson was a member of the Huntsville Beatification Society. She taught Figure Skating for over 35 years in Huntsville, and was a former director of Ice Skating in the Huntsville area. Mrs. Dotson spent many years in Hollywood acting in movies in the U.S. as well as Europe.
She is survived by her daughters Editha Dotson-Bowser and her husband James C. Bowser and Manuela Dotson Hendrix. Grandchildren Christopher Bowser, Cassandra Bowser, Olivia Hendrix, Andrew Hendrix and Jasmine Hendrix.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:30 pm until 7 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please send donation to the Marianne Dotson Scholarship Fund at Municipal Ice complex, Attn: Friends of Recreational Ice Activities 3185 Leeman Ferry Rd, Huntsville, Al 35801.
