Marie A. Bussiere, 90, of Marquette, died Wednesday morning, August 10, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Bussiere was born on April 12, 1921 in Marquette, a daughter of the late Paul and Louise (Landry) Berandt. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church as well as its altar society. In her free time, Marie worked as a volunteer at Marquette General Hospital. She is survived by four daughters, Christine Oaks of Marquette, Julianne Bussiere of Milwaukee, WI, Mary (Paul Nicholson) Bussiere and Annie (Paul) Drach, both of Minneapolis, MN; seven grandchildren, Joshua Oaks, Carolyn Farrell, Spencer Drach, Abby Drach, Alexis Drach, Kalise and Ethan Bussiere; two great grandchildren, Jaylan Anthony Bussiere and Henry Farrell. Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband, Leonard A. Bussiere on November 28, 1990. Visitation will be held at the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home on Monday, August 15th from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Jed Patrick officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Marie's grandchildren and sons-in-law will act as pallbearers. Memorials are preferred to the Greater Michigan Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 710 Chippewa Square, Marquette, MI 49855 in Mrs. Bussiere's memory.
