LUNA - Marie Louise Luna, age 83, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012. She is survived by husband of 58 years, Ralph Luna; children, Ralph Eugene Luna and Stephanie Luna Stephens; three grandchildren, Bryan Stephens, Megan Stephens, and Craig Stephens and wife Kate; three sisters, one brother; extended family members and friends. Marie was born on March 31, 1928 and raised in Henderson, KY. She attended business school in Evansville, IN. She met Ralph while he was stationed at Camp Brekenridge in Kentucky and married him on Valentines Day in 1953. They moved around New Mexico and settled in Albuquerque in 1955. Marie worked as a Tech librarian for Sandia National Labs until she retired in 1983. Her interests included, traveling, R.V.ing, sports of all kinds, especially Lobo basketball, waterskiing, playing cards, reading, and politics. A friend to everyone she met, Marie will truly be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bear Canyon Ward, 11750 San Victorio Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
