Clark, Marie M, 86, Clearwater, passed away on Tuesday, January 31st, 2012 at Brookside Hospice of Palm Harbor.

She was born April 5th, 1925 in Chicago, IL and eventually came to Florida in August of 1966. She was a Bookkeeper for O.L. Products, Oldsmar, FL from 1994 to 2010.

She is survived by daughters, Kathleen Brown, Carol Garcia and Donna Carollo; sons, William Clark III, Philip Clark and Richard Clark and grandchildren, Victoria Brown, Jessica Brown, Ashley Roberts, Olivia Carollo, Ethan Clark, Richard Clark and Richelle Clark.

A public gathering will be held from 7:00-9:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 4th with Services to follow on Monday, February 6th at 3:00 P.M. Both events will take place at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, Clearwater. (727) 796-1992.

Memories & Candles

I have so many fond memories of Aunt Marie that I couldn't possibly choose one, except that I remember she was a fabulous cook and always so cheerful when she hosted our family holidays in Elmwood Park. She had the patience of a saint and to Marie, the glass was always half-full. Her laugh was infectious. You couldn't help but laugh with her. I hear her laughing even now. Thanks for creating this beautiful memorial website and lots of hugs from your cousin.

I had the privilege of spending the last few weeks with Marie, Rick, and Donna. I am reminded of what love, friendship, laughter, tears, and support is. Marie smiled and laughed until the end. She was fearless, caring, and had the love of family that I had the honor to witness. God knows that she is in greater union with the world and will always be in our minds and hearts. Rick and Donna, like it or not, we are three peas in a pod, and for that, we are forever intertwined.

I have so many great memories of Marie, she will always be in my heart for all the love she showed me when I was a crazy kid trying to find my way. She welcomed me into her family and never seemed to mind that I always there, just hanging out. In fact, the best times were when she would be right there hanging with us. Or, we'd be in the kitchen and she was right there "teaching" us to cook, yes even liver! I love and miss you Marie! ♥

I do not believe I have ever know anyone as positive as Marie. You always looked on the bright side of every situtaion, even when it was hard to see! Rest in Peace Marie!

I'll always remember Marie's positive attitude. No matter what was going on in her life she would have a smile on her face. She was someone who went through so much yet could always put a positive spin on anything. She was so warm and welcomed anyone into her home... I remember there was always someone up next door - no matter what time of day or night and people always coming and going... as friends of her children we all felt welcome anytime. She never judged us crazy teens!!! Just listened and made us feel better. She made us all feel like family.

Some of our family memories are when:

1. When our children would ask "why does gramma Marie's hair move?" & having to explain, it was a wig that moved... Yeah, just made for more questions. lol

2. How Marie always had something about sex!

3. How she ALWAYS hit on my hubby! Even if I was in the room, she didn't care. She'd just wink, & flirt with him. too funny

Lastly, how much she always tried to help her children & grand chldren no matter what.

My favorite memory of Marie was Sunday dinner. She made the best chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls and salad. She was so welcoming and so kind and understanding. A wonderful person who brought only good into this world. She treated the friends of her children as though they were her own - everyone was welcomed and with a warm heart and a beautiful smile. Marie was a breath of fresh air ... and she was instrumental in my life.
