Marie (Koskovich) Whitehead, the daughter of Claude and Helen Koskovich was born March 20, 1921, in Creston, Nebraska. Marie passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 89.
She received her education in the rural country schools.
On October 25, 1936, she was united in marriage to Lyle Whitehead in Winnebago, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple made their home in Winnebago. Marie worked at the Untited Winnebago Hospital for 25 years. She later was employed at the Parker Oaks Nursing Home until her retirement. On May 25, 1983, Lyle passed away. In 1986, Marie moved to Armstrong, Iowa.
She enjoyed playing cards; crossword puzzles; baking and doing crafts. Marie was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Armstrong.
Left to cherish Marie's memory are her children, Helen Mosloski of East Chain, Minnesota; Fran Kaminski and her husband, Ted of Armstrong; John Whitehead of Winnebago; Jim Whitehead and his wife, Vicki of Sherburn, Minnesota; Cathy Berentson and her husband, Bob of Mankato, Minnesota; Gloria Woodwick of Winnebago; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Koskovich and his wife, Lorraine; and sister, Jo Kropp and her husband David all of Fairmont, Minnesota.
She has been preceded in death by her parents; husband; two children; five brothers; one sister and son-in-laws, Raymond Koskovich and Dennis Woodwick.
