Marjorie "Marge" A. Colescott October 29th, 1930 ~ January 9th, 2010 Marjorie �Marge� A. Colescott, 79, Gas City, died at 1:50 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 in Marion General Hospital. She was born in LaFontaine to the late Glen and Pauline (Sparks) Eubank. Marge was a 1948 graduate of Gas City High School, where she was a cheerleader, flag twirler and track queen. Marge married Jack Colescott on Nov. 19, 1949. She was the consummate coach�s wife. She accompanied her husband on his coaching expeditions all over Indiana, offering food, rides and quiet support. Marge spent 19 years as an educational assistant for Marion Community Schools. She and her husband attended Gas City First United Methodist Church, and they used to attend First United Methodist Church in Marion. Survivors include her husband, Jack Colescott, Gas City; children, Linda Colescott, Highlands Ranch, Colo., Nancy (Glenn) Heaton, Sweetser, Susan (Kent) Hoopingarner, Fort Wayne and David (Stephanie Isaman) Colescott, Winston-Salem, NC; sisters, Catherine Dalton, Logansport and Joan Deason, East Bend, NC; sisters-in-law, Betty (Paul) Turner and Patty Maynard; brother-in-law, Virgil Dinius; grandchildren, Michael and Alissa Rey, Jennifer (Everett) Liggett, Stacy Sible, Rachel (Ed) Hayden, Kyle (Darcy) Hoopingarner, Brett Hoopingarner, Ashley Colescott and Jack Robert Colescott; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara Dinius. Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave, with Pastors Doug Davies and Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial is in Gardens of Memory. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
