Marjorie L. Williamson, 84, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Thursday January 6, 2011 at La Porte Hospital She was born July 24, 1926 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Francis Eskridge and Agnes F. (Neumann) Eskridge. Marjorie was an x-ray technician for Howmet Corp for eighteen years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and Martha Circle of the church. Marjorie volunteered at the Share Foundation for the handicapped. She was also a ceramic instructor. On February 1, 1943, in Palmyra, MO, she married Charles R. Williamson who preceded in death August 20, 1993. She is survived by her son - Mark Williamson of La Porte, IN; daughter - Barbara (George) Stefano of La Porte, IN; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mary Galloway of La Porte, IN. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Charles Williamson, Jr., Samuel R. Williamson, and sister, Ann Krueger. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, January 10, 2011 from 10:00 am, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday January 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, La Porte, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Share Foundation with the Handicapped, P.O.
