Marjorie Maxine Brewer, age 85, of Leachville, the widow of Don Brewer who passed away in 1991, died Thursday at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Manila she was a lifelong area resident and a 1942 graduate of Manila High School. After raising her family she worked for the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. She was involved in the care of the Box Elder Cemetery in the Geneva Community, a farming community north of Buckeye, Arkansas near Leachville, and was active in the Manila community through her membership in the Business and Professional Women's Organization. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, frequenting local businesses and attending city functions. Mrs. Brewer was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leachville.

In addition to her husband Don she was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Myrtle Mae Coins Samples.

Judy Diane Williams of Maryville, TN
Susan Denice Rouse of Memphis, TN
Angie Maria Simpson of Little Rock, AR
Mona Dawn Broadaway of Jonesboro, AR

Alma Galyean of Oak Grove, LA

11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren

Funeral Services will be 2PM Tuesday in the First Baptist Church in Leachville with Reverend David Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Box Elder Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service. Serving as pallbearers will be Dewey Sevin, Rusty Simpson, Bruce Broadaway, Brandon Rouse, Holden Broadaway, Benjamin Johnston and Hunter Broadaway serving as pallbearer absentia.

The family will receive visitors Monday evening from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
