On December 30, 2011 The Spirit of Our Living God came to carry home one of his children, Marjorie P. Paige. Marjorie P. Paige was born on February 28, 1957 in Johnston, SC. She was the third child of seven born to James and Maggie Lee (Harris)Patterson. At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined the Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she attended until her health failed. She was educated in Edgefield and Aiken County School systems. She was a graduate of Aiken High School. She was united in holy matrimony with Rodney Paige. This union produced two sons, Jameason and Levar Paige. Marjorie lived a very full life. She enjoyed taking care of her sons and working as a Corrections Officer until her health forced her to retire. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two of her siblings, Herbert L. Patterson and Leila Mae Patterson. She was blessed with a nuturing spirit. Words can never express the love that she had for her children and grandchildren. In her passing, she left a great legacy. We who are left to mourn her passing are her sons, Jameason R. (Jerlyn) Paige and Levar E. (Sharon) Paige, Aiken, SC; her six grandchildren, Jabria Paige, Corion Reed, Deandre Johnson, Kayliyah Paige, Katlin Paige, Keenan Paige; brothers, James Patterson and Calvin Patterson, both of Aiken, SC; sisters, Barbara Ann Patterson and Rubenia Patterson, both of Aiken, SC; aunts, Geneva Roper, Johnston, SC, Maggie Bell Harris, Trenton, SC and Carrie (Frank) Daniels, Ward, SC; uncles, Elijah (Christine) Harris, Johnston, SC, M.C. Harris of New York and Connie Patterson, Eureka, S.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and neighbors.
