Marsha Skelly (nee Phillips) passed away peacefully on Christmas day, her favourite day of the year. She lost a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born January 26th, 1947 in the same house and same bed as her mother in Crossett, Arkansas. She is predeceased by her father Madison and brother Michael. She is survived by her mother Mildred Richardson of Clearwater, brother Richard (Margery) of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, brother Larry (Darla) of Des Moines, Iowa and brother Patrick (Hana) of Prague, The Czech Republic. Marsha last worked in payroll and accounts payable until December 2009. Due to the severity of her cancer she had to retire. Marsha had a penchant for cooking. Her favourite program was the Food Network. She would printout various recipes and prepare them. They were always delicious. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Tampa General Hospital, Morton Plant Hospital, the Florida Cancer Centre (Largo) and especially the caring nurses, staff and doctors at Hospice House at Woodside, Pinellas Park. The family will be receiving guests at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home in Clearwater from Friday December 30th from 10:00 to 11:00 with a service following at 11:00. Cremation will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers Marsha requests a donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
