GRAFTON: Martha (Payne) Tidman, 95, passed away September 15, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Her husband John F. Tidman, Jr. passed away in 2008. Martha is survived by her children, Elinor F. Tidman and William F. Tidman and his wife Sharon; her granddaughter Camelynn Blake and her husband Donald, daughter-in-law Ginger Strong Tidman, her sister Elinor Lawrence, sister-in-law Shirley Payne and several nieces and nephews. Her son Jay Tidman and brother William Payne both predeceased her. Martha was born November 8, 1915 in Wagoner, OK, daughter of the late Mary (Hunt) and Robert C. Payne. She grew up in Worcester and she and her husband John raised their family in Grafton. Martha will be remembered by family and friends for the life she built around supporting and strengthening her community. She was active volunteering with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, was part of the committee that launched the Grafton Historical Society, served on the Board of the Worcester County Extension and donated her time and energy as a member of the Unitarian Universalist Society in Grafton. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers her family requests donations to The Grafton Food Bank 30 Providence Road Grafton MA 01519 or to a charity of choice. MEMORIAL SERVICE All are invited to a memorial service for Martha on Friday September 30th at 10:30am at RONEY FUNERAL HOME 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton MA 01536. Burial will be private at the convenience of her family. There are no calling hours.
